The Convexabsorber® is a wide spectrum absorbing panel and it has been designed to be applied on ceilings and walls. It is manufactured by combining rock wool and foam in a mathematically studied box with a labyrinth. This panel also has a second box inside it, tuned to 200 Hz, that reinforces and extends the absorption coefficients at lower frequencies. Due to its convex shape, it is also a wide-angle reflection diffuser.
It is also used as an absorber of mediums/lows. Given its absorption and reflection characteristics, this panel balances reverberation and echoes in larger rooms, auditoriums etc.. When the areas so require, the panels can be placed alternately at 90º angles, thus ending up with a 2D dispersion. The Convexabsorber® panel has been designed and tested through computer simulation in order to guarantee its high performance levels in controlling sound energy, by reducing resonances and reflections with a wide range of efficiency.
